ProForm is a company that has established itself as a leader in fitness equipment. Of course, one can only expect nothing but the best from them, and the ProForm 510 E is a prime example of that. For an intense workout that results in prime physical fitness, this is the machine to go for. One of the main things that people can expect from this machine is the diversity in workout routines. It’s pre-programmed with 18 routines that will get them in the best shape possible. These routines were designed with some help from a certified fitness instructor, which makes them all the more effective. One can also expect top notch health monitoring with this machine. The Dual Grip EKG heart rate monitor keeps them in pace whenever they’re training. They’ll be achieving maximum results while keeping tracking of their own health. The iFit compatible console is also something to marvel at. One can work out with terrains from all over the world courtesy of Google Maps, along with some personalized workout routines with automatic incline, decline and speed adjustments. On top of that, it’s got Jillian Michaels, one of the world’s best fitness trainers to give users coaching tips. Users can also keep track of their own progress through the 5 inch LCD display. They’ll be seeing loads of vital information such as the speed, time and distance of your training. This way, one never lose track of their progress. The ProForm 510 E is certainly a machine that gives you nothing but the best workouts ever. Through it, you’ll be well on your way to becoming physically fit in no time. Adding to that is the fact that you’ve got ProForm behind it all, thus solidifying your chances of achieving peak physical conditioning. Good Points: Most ellipticals feature a single stride but the Proform 510 E’s stride length is adjustable from 18 to 20 inches. Unless you’re a very tall user, this should be reasonably comfortable for you Though the incline only goes up to 20 degrees, this is better than many ellipticals that don’t even sport an incline! Compatible with the iFit module though a yearly subscription that comes free with the purchase of wireless module is required. However, don’t be put off by the price since even the top end Proform models require you to purchase it. If you think about it, this is actually one of the most affordable models from Proform that lets you experience iFit’s online functionalities. The Proform 510E is a reasonably well equipped elliptical with a reasonably modern looking design and console at a very reasonable price. Bad Points: The 275 lb weight capacity is a little lower than most other Proform ellipticals but we believe this figure to be trustworthy and accurate. A one year parts and labor warranty is definitely something that you WOULDN’t want to write home about though what can you expect from an elliptical that retails for and is on sale for. Doesn’t fold Verdict: At the time of review (Nov 23/2012), the Proform 510 E along with all the ellipticals on Proform’s website are selling for less than. Besides the 510E, there are two other models that are also selling from between and (the 590E and 10.0CE). If you’re looking for a simple and quick answer as to which one is the best deal, there isn’t one. In terms of reliability, based on paper specs alone, they’re pretty much equal. This leaves us with looking at the bells and whistles and there are only slight differences. Overall, there is just very little to differentiate between each other which makes our jobs as reviewers very difficult. But we will say this. The Proform 510 E does get you good mileage on your money. Demanding users should look for sturdier and steadier models elsewhere but for the first time buyer on a budget, the 510E is an elliptical worth considering.
