No one’s going to stop your nightly workouts anymore. The ProForm 14.0 CE has a SMR™ Silent Magnetic Resistance frictionless system that ensures a no-sound and no-creak operation. Your neighbors won’t be aware of your nocturnal habits! The Power Intensity™ Ramp will make sure that a stiff form of exercise is available for those who wants a more punishing pace. But why sacrifice your comfort? Switch on the CoolAire™ Workout Fan while gritting your teeth. You must stay fresh if you want to stay longer on your elliptical. And hey, don’t forget to monitor your heart rate! Take a good hold on those handle bars that has built-in Dual-Grip EKG™ heart rate monitoring sensors. Built-in workout programs are designed to help you lose weight within a period of time or burn certain amounts of calories while toning muscles. Through iFit Live™, workouts created by world-class personal trainers like Jillian Michaels are made available for download in Google Maps™. Enjoy travelling through all-terrain course with automatic incline and speed settings while inside the comfort of your home. If you want to take a break from the rat race of a training, soothe your mind and spirit with music using the built-in sound system for MP3 Player or iPod® by plugging into the Interplay® Music Port. Or play your favorite media through the built-in Intermix Acoustics™ 2.0 sound system for a richer surround sound. Keep track of your workout progress record on these two available display: 5” backlit display and RaceTrack™ Display. Good points: More built in workout programs and incline options than usual Big pedals that are also comfortable due to the fact they’ve added cushioning to it Bad points: Sub par warranty means questionable quality Comments: For ellipticals that are also priced at retail, the Proform 14.0 CSE probably stands in the middle of the pact. What this essentially means is that the Proform 14.0 CSE doesn’t have any glaring inferiorities in comparison to ellipticals in this price range but it doesn’t mean it’s not without its weaknesses. For example, we have no idea how much the unit weighs nor do we know the flywheel weight so the user experience is probably questionable. On the bright side, it does come with a fair amount of built in programs and the fact that it’s a newer 2011 model means that the craftsmanship is probably better than older models.
