Nordictrack Commercial 1500 Treadmill Review

Fitness meets entertainment and technology with one of NordicTrack’s innovation – a commercial-grade quality in your own home. Discover and enjoy the NordicTrack Commercial 1500 Treadmill. Now, you can experience an enjoyable workout with its Interplay Music Port. You can plug your iPod and listen to your favorite music in crystal-clear sound quality. It has Intermix Acoustics System so you get the ultimate listening experience while exercising.

Not only that, you get 28 personal trainer workouts, which automatically adjust your speed and incline to reach your exercise goal. You can also customize 4 of your own workouts with its 4 Create & Save workouts which you can retrieve for future use. This treadmill also has a Grafixx Resolution Display so you can see any information you need for a specific workout like your heart beat, calories, distance or elapsed time on its 2″ monitor. The built-in sensors on the handlebars could also monitor your heartbeat to see which exercise really works for you.

The NordicTrack Commercial 1500 Treadmill also has features including an Airlight Shock with selflocking latch which makes storing (folding and unfolding) easier for you.  Just like NordicTrack’s other treadmills, it has a very powerful motor and spacious treadbelt that can accommodate a capacity of up to 350 lbs.

Good points

  • iFit live module not only is supported but is included unlike many of the other Nordictrack treadmills
  • loads of workout programs
  • 350 lb weight capacity, motor/belt combination and roller grade, 2 years parts warranty (1 year longer than normal) all suggest a sturdy and durable machine
  • High quality sound system
  • Beautifully and intelligently designed

Bad points

  • Excessively expensive if not on sale
  • Took out air fans from previous version
  • Would even be better if it had a built in TV

Comments

  • There are actually two treadmills by the name of Nordictrack Commercial 1500, one was just introduced in late 2009 and is thus a 2010 model. The other Commercial 1500 treadmill is much older. We’re reviewing the newer one here.

This newer Commercial 1500 treadmill by Nordictrack is at the time of review, the only treadmill that we’re aware of that comes with the iFit Live module. Whereas the other treadmills require you to shell out an extra $400 (though a price drop is likely in the works) for the module that allows you to make use of the iFit Live module, this treadmill includes it as part of the purchase. Compared to the older Commercial 1500, this newer version is much improved with extra features without the extra cost. Unfortunately, if you’re a fan of treadmill fans, this one doesn’t come with one.
