Comparison of the Proform Smart Strider 535 and Proform Smart Strider 735:

Comparing these two models side by side, it’s easy to see that the Proform Smart Strider 735 takes the lead over the Smart Strider 535 as far as features are concerned. However, it is also important to note that there is a $200 difference between these two units. So the next question is whether or not this price difference is justified. Let’s take a closer look and review both machines.

For the basic features, the Smart Strider 735 had more resistance levels and workout programs.  This model also boasts of 0 to 10-degree power adjustable incline which allows you to focus on specific muscle groups. It also had a longer parts warranty of 2 years.

As far as the bells and whistle are concerned, the Smart Strider 735 has better enhancements on the foot pedals, has a coolaire workout fan and a 5-inch backlit display.

Both models have the same space saver and easy assembly design. They also have the same 18-inch fixed stride length.

Of course, we’d like to state here that the Smart Strider 535 still has decent features especially if you consider its price tag of $599 -i.e. 18 digital resistance levels, 18 workout apps, a built-in sound system, a water bottle holder, and soft touch upper-body handles. If you are on a budget, the Smart Strider 535 can still work for you. However, if you want more variety and intensity in your elliptical workout sessions then we suggest that you go for the Smart Strider 735.

What Makes the Proform Smart Strider 535 Worth Buying?

– One practical feature of the Proform Smart Strider 535 is its fold-up design which will allow you to store it away after you’re done with your exercise session. This unit also boasts of an easy assembly design, so setting it up would be a breeze.

-For most ellipticals in this price category, the average frame warranty that we find is between 5 to 9 years.  This unit, however, has a lifetime warranty. Aside from saving you from possible expenses for repairs, a longer warranty also denotes higher quality. Of course, manufacturers will not offer a longer warranty if they are not confident that the product will outlast it.

– You still get a lot of decent features from this elliptical machine even if it’s priced below $700. The model boasts of 18 digital resistance levels, 18 workout apps, a built-in sound system, a water bottle holder, and soft touch upper-body handles.

What Makes The Proform Smart Strider 535 NOT Worth Buying?

– It would have helped our evaluation if the unit weight was disclosed. Right now, we can’t validate if this unit can actually support the stated 275-pound user weight capacity since we don’t know how much the machine actually weighs.
